Chiang Mai Women’s Retreat 2019

** Registration is now closed.

Dear Women’s Retreat Friends,

We eagerly anticipate a great time together at the 2019 Chiang Mai Women’s Retreat. The dates are 1 to 3 November at Horizon Village Resort. (Resort website:

This year our theme is

In your presence, there is fullness of JOY.” (Psalm 16:11)

Our main speakers for the plenary sessions, Caroline Armstrong and Roslyn Manson, will help us explore this theme together.

We hope you will take this chance to experience time away from routine to engage in focused time with God, in community, and solitude. This is always such a time of fun and blessing bringing together women of all backgrounds and churches and ages, from high school seniors on up.

Timetable and Registration

The retreat will begin with registration from 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon. There will be some optional afternoon activities before the evening meal at 6 p.m. The retreat will conclude with lunch on Sunday, with an option to stay for soaking prayer at 1.30 p.m.

The women’s retreat committee has planned a varied program for worship, fun, fellowship and learning. Our worship times will be led by Kayte Musselman and her team. The Fresh Expressions Art Room (led by Kit Ripley) will also be available during the retreat. We will have a time to learn worship dance from Kat Hoelscher on Friday night. And for a really fun time, on Saturday night, Helen Naples will lead us in a “Boogie Fever” dance time where we will learn some “disco” line dances such as the Hustle and the Cupid Shuffle.

There will also be a craft sale from 3.15 to 5.45 p.m. on Saturday. So bring money for shopping!

You will see the list of electives on the registration form. Description of the electives are below.

The resort offers lovely scenery, swimming, as well as bicycles and pedal boats for rent.
